Role Description
The Global Infrastructure Accounting Manager will be a key member of the Accounting Operations team and will be hands on coordinating the company’s world-wide infrastructure, real estate, and fixed asset processes. Additionally, this hire will be key in developing policies and procedures that support cross functional teams for current global operations.
This full-time role will interface daily with internal departments and upper management and the ideal candidate is detail-orientated and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure and fixed asset team members in San Francisco, CA
- Manage the career development of your staff and other professionals across the finance organization.
- Manage Dropbox’s infrastructure, real estate and fixed asset processes related to monthly close, analytics and reporting
- Develop and monitor the compliance of capitalization and purchasing policies
- Work closely with financial planning and tax departments on internal reporting
- Coordinate with supply chain teams on the purchasing and tracking of racks, servers, networking equipment, and furniture for multiple datacenters
- Participate in legal contract reviews related to real estate and datacenters
- Drive the development of strategies to improve accounting operations effectiveness, including the development and execution of organizational, process and system changes
- Assist with financial audit preparation/support, including footnote disclosures
- Preparation for Sarbanes Oxley compliance
- Ad hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
- CPA with 5–10 years’ experience in accounting with a mix of both a public accounting firm and top tier tech company
- Leadership and people-management skills
- Top performer that is willing to dive into the details, and looking to gain experience and grow with Dropbox
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP including operating and capital leases, asset capitalization, and asset retirement obligations
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners
- Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, but comfortable with ambiguity
- Execution focused with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner
- Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all areas and levels of the company
